I had seen the World Race and Acceleracers before it and I checked out the series and I think Battle Force 5 is a perfect replacement of The Highway 35 canon. It has an amazing Plot, Characters and Vehicles. It is a Science Fiction Racing series, the concept of it is that some world-famous race car drivers race Aliens in alternative Dimensions over a Battle key that can be used to open portals from the Zone. The First Season focuses on then racing against Savage mutant animals and Alien Robots. This season is mostly filler and introduces some cool Battle Zones and has a lot of character development. In season 2 we learn more about the aliens that created the Battle Zones called sentients and the team has to fuse their vehicles to stop a warlike faction of them. This season has a good plot and explains everything. In a last 2 episode special, we learn the origin of the sentients and the team has to stop the Rock Monsters who created then from retaking their home world. This is a good concept, shame only Hot Wheels can come up with it. I love the concept of interdimensional racing, I'm surprised nobody has used this concept in a tv show since this series ended. And this series was amazing the background the concept the characters.

It feels rushed, the controls aren't very good, there are only 5 Battle Zones none of which are canon to the tv show. The giant monsters are lame although the bosses are pretty good. The small baddies you smash for fun are lame like watermelons and rock sharks. However, the Vehicles do look pretty good and it is an interesting gameplay element to drive around fighting over the Battle Key. However, the Battle Mode is highly unorganized and there are no teams, it's horrible and it's the only part where you can play as the Sark and Vandals and play in two player mode. You are also confined to a small section of the Battle Zones. It also only has 10 levels which feels a little short and not enough. I like the Concept and gameplay and I am a huge fan of its Franchise but they could have made a better game with better controls and Battle Zones.
