They should just throw every award going at this programme. It is genius. It makes you feel, no matter how jaded you may think you are, it makes you feel emotion. The acting is astounding, and the scripts are jaw dropping.

I realised, upon watching this show, that I had been in pain, emotionally, beyond anything I had been taught to deal with. It grabbed me and it gave me the ability to sob, which I clearly needed. Every actor, every scene, was perfect. Penelope Wilton was wonderful, the script was wonderful. After Life is, quite simply, a beautiful piece of art, and I am grateful that it exists. Ricky Gervais is a genius, and I am so glad that he cares about the here and now enough to have created this show. It cannot be faked, for ratings or reviews, this standard of television. Thank you.
