This movie is an American classic. that shows the struggle of two men trying to succeed in their endeavor to attain their personal goals,One who wants money and power and to rule an empire of this own, and to have the woman he loves, but in doing so, he wrongs his good friend by betrayal, and hurting his wife and daughter, as well. He hates his friend who once saved his life, and will not admit to himself the wrongs he has done to those dearest to him. Another man Thor Storm, fights for the land he loves and realizes that the only way to save it is to take on and fight the empire of his once friend and whose goal is to rape the land for all the wealth it has. Thor's only chance he has in do this, is fighting for state hood for Alaska. In the end, the first man realizes that all the riches he has gained is not enough to make up for all the wrongs he has done to those he realizes in the end, that he loves and those that love him.
