The only reason I dislike the book is because I have to read it for school, I will fully acknowledge the fact that it's A timeless classic and in the eyes of many, A masterpiece of literature. But not only am I disinterested in Greek mythos in general, I'm forced to understand deeper intricacies of characters and their relationships for A grade, completely choking the enjoyment out of possibly figuring these things out for myself or speculating my own theories. Could I have enjoyed this if I decided to dedicate my own time and effort into this book? Possibly. It is right in the middle for me, as I neither enjoyed reading it or disliked the book itself.
