The Chow Down

I don’t know why I waited so long to watch but wow. I actually cried and I never do that. This truly shows the dark and true sides of addiction, abuse, drugs, suicide, fame, and so much more. Truly a resemblance of reality for many. I have loved lady Gaga since forever now as a singer and love her even more as an actress and Bradley Cooper truly is an amazing actor and director. They both did such a fantastic job playing their roles and even Gaga not looking like herself but her character evolving I feel they did a really great job! Also, the songs.. can we talk about the composition of them??? Like they are so deep and connected. Loved every second of this film.

Although this show is portraying the modern world, digital world, it’s so boring. Honestly speaking, I love the original gossip girl because of their livelihood and how believable it is. This show just focuses way too much on sister connection and back and forth bickering. I have watched all of the episodes giving it a chance but I feel absolutely no connection to the characters. The story of the original was far more interesting because several millennial/gen z are not sucked into the virtual world. The show doesn’t pull you in because it just feels like it’s drama one second and then forgiveness the next. Also, they constantly keep bringing up the other characters like Chuck, Blaire, Dan, etc. Which feels like these characters can’t have their own personality. I will still watch it and I’m not trying to compare the two, but it leaves us no choice but to constantly compare.
