I have not watched 1989 movie so I would like to focus on 2019 movie. It looks nice and scary but the movie skipped a lot of part on the book so sometimes there is no clue why the movie is going that way. The director tried to fill up this skipping part but not that smooth. So, suddenly it becomes completely different story with original book. So, the movie itself is fine but without background of book you might lose what is going on. .
