Really good read. A pandemic from a child's point of view. The characters were interesting and believable. Having spent time living on a Scottish island it took me back to the ribbon roads, the rockpools and weather. Makes me aware of how children mimic their parents in times of desperation, of how groups of people form into leaders and followers. Recommend.

I closed my eyes for a good deal of the movie. The hand held camera and the jangly piano music seemed to be trying to tell me how VG was feeling... his mental state. However I think there were better ways to portray this, than sending your audience into seasickness. Parts of the film were very good, but it was outweighed by the camera work.
