What an amazing commentary on society today….its sad to see how much we have fallen as a nation, as a community, and as individuals. Rose is the perfect commentary on how disconnected young people are and how even as the world falls apart all she cares to do is watch the final episode of friends. That ending gave me chills

I was so excited about this film, had a Netflix alert and everything, and literally only got through 20 minutes before turning it off. The whole first 20 minutes is just a massive rant about how white people oppress, appropriate, and invade black culture. The final drop was when Ezra’s friend ask if he really thought it was a good idea to date a black girl given the current social climate. I didn’t watch anything else…it’s so sad that with such a phenomenal cast this was the end result. Aston Kutcher and Bernie Mac had this same exact concept with Guess who and they were able to drive home a message while making a movie that is actually funny.
