Okay, going into the film - I really wanted to like it despite all of the harsh criticism prior unfortunately the film was as goofy and cheesy as expected. The suit looked as bad as pre-release, the story lacked depth and the casting was off in places. The dialogue was extremely poor throughout and left me with multiple eye rolling moments. The CGI work was also poor in many areas. As much as you try not to - you cannot help but compare to Henry Cavill’s portrayal and Zack Snyder’s directing, and did it compare? No. The bottom line is - it was a mishmash of jumbled story which didn’t hit the spot. It felt very much like a straight to DVD depiction and not the summer Blockbuster we all wanted. Corenswet tried his best, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. James Gunn didn’t hit it out of the park with this, he barely hit it 2 feet. Did I enjoy it? Although there were a couple of enjoyable moments, not really. Did it feel like a superman film? Slightly. Was it as good as Henry Cavill's Man of Steel? No, not even close. Sorry James, but this seemed like a self indulgent mess, made for your own enjoyment.

Exceptional, emotional, intense. Classic nail biting action. Fantastic performance from the cast and excellent directing. The action sequences were nothing short of incredible. A solid 5 out of 5 from me.
