Killing Joke began as a post apocalypse post punk dub outfit but soon moved towards hard rock. Their lyrics frequently inhabit a post nuclear war world where government is busy crushing opposition. They have a distinctive sense of humour which is expressed by their album art. This is one of the finest and longest running bands to come out of punk.
