The Black Phone did NOT need a sequel. This movie wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as the first one. I would not recommend it if you are sensitive to gore because it is way more gory than the first movie. It was basically just a modern nightmare on Elm street, the grabber haunts Gwens dreams to take revenge and now Gwen is basically the main character of the movie. Personally I dont think it needed a second movie. I'd say only go see it if you get invited to see it.

I would give this 6 stars if I could. This movie was Phenomenal!! The cliffhanger at the end was absolutely horrible but this just felt like I was reliving my ritual. Twenties was so cool too. Definitely would see again in theaters if I could.
