I think it's illegal, in the uk, to make anything but dei woke nonsense. Moral of this show - white ppl are racist, but are incapable of dating within their own race. All brown ppl are victims and not responsible for their own behavior. And all cops lie and are untrustworthy, even the good ones (the good ones lie for one another, have affairs, fake evidence, etc) . Plus the unnecessary sex scenes.

[Trigger warning - this show has graphic violence which includes rape of a woman and the murder of an infant.] While the acting was decent, and the costuming/sets were great, I found the stories to be lacking. In both seasons, 100% of the white ppl in the shows were racist, of not also psychotic. There was not one who wasn't a terrible person, not one normal, average white person. Ppl are saying they were educated by this show, which is crazy! Things like this are made for younger ppl who weren't living in those times and who were raised on dei and racism. According to the Them universe, all white ppl are racist and evil. There were no decent whites in the 50s and none in the 90s. Were there racists? Of course. Was every white person in the county racist? VERY far from it. My grandfather is a good example of what kind of person was here and still is. Not a hateful bone in his body. He was in one of the first integrated scouting troops in the 30s and happy to be there. He served in ww2 with many races. None of that mattered to him and it didn't matter to millions of us, ever. That's why we died by the hundreds of thousands to end slavery. Because we were, in fact, not racist. This show would have you belive that every white person in this country was out lynching and murdering babies. We weren't back then and we aren't now. The manipulation of reality is expected, to some extent, I mean it's a tv show. But viewers are thinking it's real. That that is how it was. It was not.
