this is single-handedly one of the best books I have ever read. And I’ve read A LOT. Hunting Adeline is even better. H.D. Carlton manages to capture so many aspects of trauma so perfectly. And the way the main character is helped regain her own self, her own confidence and soul again, omg. It tugs at your heartstrings for sure, but I’d read it over and over again. Brilliant writing.
