Other reviews voice the opinions I have. Why not just make a completely new sci-fi setting to tell your story in rather than ride the coattails of a well established series and settings. Especially if you aren't going to respect the source material your fans are expecting you to pull from. On top of that, why not foot the bill for a proper production instead of settling for the drops in quality. Especially in the same climate as shows like the Mandalorian.
