This has now become a soap opera on a starship. No overarching themes, just dramatic character interplay strung together with periodic insertion of scenes of space or of the starship.This smacks of typical low budget, predictable , old-style television drama. CBS must be cash straped to trot out this watered down version of sci-fi. Season 4 review.

Sorry...Not very.compelling, just combine The Dick Van Dyke show and Bewitched....

A human epic set amomg the stars of our distant future, based on a n emerging theory of our times! While the series is not faithful to the books, it is compelling in its world building and faithful to the ideas explored by Asimov! I read the complete series of books when I was a young man and reread them all before I watched the series. Great cinematography, great acting, sweeping vista's and powerful concepts make this very entertaining.
