Apart from the leadership crisis which is being faced by most African continent, patronage system is also a huge problem which has made most of our so called leaders to have a total disregard towards institutions which could have allowed Africa to thrive. Poverty in Africa is deliberate act orchestrated by our leaders. It is more of chiefdom which is meant for the people to serve them rather than serving the people through a sound leadership. Until there is a change or a paradigm shift in the thinking of our leaders, nothing will change and poverty will rife.
