I just loved the movie, the character Kabir Singh was very kind at heart, he never forced any girl to be physical with him to forget Preeti, he always asked for permission, he never raped, he never attacked with acid Or murdered any girl, he just went through self destructive phase, why then we should blame him for anything, he throughout loved preeti the most, may be he admitted a crime that he used to drink and go for surgery, but his heart was not dishonest, he couldn't bear his father's insult and was also feeling guilty at the same time he accepted his guilt in the court even knowing the result would never favour him. In case of that slap, its really not good but Preeti also slapped him in public, why aren't we blaming in both the cases, he never tortured preeti, only slapped her when he was seeing in front of his eyes that his life(Preeti) was leaving him. He always loved her respected her before she was partially(not fully) ready to marry her father's choice. Why aren't we blaming the girl in the beginning of the film who called Kabir when his boyfriend was not at home, neither we blamed the hospital manager for worthless advertisement with flirtatious comments with the actress when she only came for treatment. Kabir Singh never glorified his misdeeds like we all do with our cold mind. And the character preeti is also admirable. Her patience her love surmounts quality of a person in today's generation, and also Kabir who without any condition was ready to accept preeti's baby even thinking it was somebody else's baby. Very few can have this sort of big heart in today's world.
I am not telling their relationship was not problematic but everything sorted in the end. Don't judge a book by its cover, a kind hearted person must always be admired.
"It's better to love a person with wrong deeds but truthful mind rather than a mischievous person with saintly appearance".
Shahid kapoor and Kiara just nailed it, they beautifully portrayed their respective characters, and if its not then it would never crossed 370 crores in box office. It is not seeming like any remake but the original. Please don't bring those fake feminism here.
