It becomes apparent that the main character is not the shy misfit he plays in the beginning but a devious psychopath. The director succeeds in drawing the audience’s attention to each character’s response to Oliver as he ingratiates himself into the family in order to kill them and take ownership of their entrancing palatial estate.
