WHY...WHY....WHY 😢 Look I started with book 1 and now after reading 12, no more excuses. It started so good, with so promise which makes this review so hard. Every chapter the writer must insert the worst insight into morality with a long winded speech that gets digested by all the characters as if it's incredibly insightful, and so profound in its wisdom that we should all stand in awe. The whole book your getting gaslight with such basic insights that it feels like this shouldn't be read past 4th graders. It's the same format every book. 2 random mediocre fights, a couple of side quest and a predictable boss fight. We're at book 12 and he's still just stringing the storyline along. Dose he want 20 books milked? I'm lost as a fan, book 12 was more the same with too many meaningless high road speeches. Humor was forced and the social justice direction was a total fail. If you read make sure your its used as background noise because I really was tempted to just skip through the chapters to find some storyline and not hear about some obscure alien recipe for a better lemonade
