I have read and reread this book. For many personal reasons much of the story resonates with me, but the suspense Ms. Dermont created while telling this tale, makes the reader pay attention to detail to the very end. In real life I knew the characters in the story - or at least, ones exactly like those who weave in and out of this book, like a cat and mouse taunting one another. While i knew it would come to an end, I was sad to turn the last page. Read this book.
