It could have been great, it’s a book of a great journey but every episode suffers from needing something huge and dramatic to happen to make up for the lack of depth. If allowed runtime is being budgeted maybe it would have been better to not cover the full first book in one season, allow room to breath, to take in the grand landscapes and greatness painting throughout the books. Build the world, instead of speed running through it. Take the ogiers over descriptive approach vs the humans, always rushing to an end. They did great for what seems to be time restraints and Covid problems that were weighing on the writing paces. I wish I could find a show that doesn’t rely on a dramatic revel every episode, hammer a nail in and watch it twist when hit off center; not every strike hits true and resolves itself in one stroke.
