Its an amusing show even without Roseanne, but even with Roseanne, this was a depressing premise! The original child characters in this family all showed great potential and yet 20 years later they are all "under-achievers" with strained relationships all still living in the same house...its just sad. Jackie is the worst, just a lonely, useless, depressed woman. 90% of the original actors look haggard. Whatever you think about Roseanne the actress, Roseanne the character was a matriarch, a strong individual and a fighter and to have her basically kill herself ruins the legacy of the original show.
