Let me start by saying this, because this needs to be put at the forefront of EVERY MOVIE WRITER'S & co head: STOP with the lazy writing, editing, screenplay, and directing. Most of us are movie watchers, not movie writers, nor makers. I'm sick of this psychological bs that writers and even directors do where they have this notion that we, the audience want to watch a movie and leave the ending up to our individual imaginations. It's lazy, stupid, and a waste of our time. Do your freaking jobs! Complete the story. If it's good, great, we will let you know. If it's not, guess what...? We will let you know. You are not paying me to conclude your damn movie. Moving on, the trailer led me to believe that I was watching one kind of movie and by the time the credits came up in the theater, I asked myself, "what the heck did I just watch?" It was not at all what I paid to see. Julia Roberts was good. Michael Stuhlbarg was good. Literally everyone else in the movie was annoying and dry. No acting skills. I honestly could act WAY better than everyone (aside from the two I mentioned) in the movie. Call it a challenge. Call it whatever you want. The movie was completely tasteless from the annoying random ticking throughout the movie, the dark sets (like I actually was waiting for it to throw a twisty horror curveball), and the forced agenda that we are to believe that things that aren't normal are in fact are. I really wanted to see this movie and wanted it to be good. Life is always right...especially about that one thing where we really don't get everything we want. Until this production learns how to make movies...just don't.

I brought my kids to this and we all loved this movie. For parents, it has language and not much else. Before we dive in, I will say that first: movie critics working for Rotten Tomatoes should be fired. Maybe not all, but definitely most. NEVER listen to them. Second: before ANYONE writes a review, make sure you fully understand all aspects of a movie, theater, or even performing arts before writing your crusty reviews. NOW, this movie should be classified as a dramatic rom-com, because that's literally what it is. In the movie, prior to a couple even thinking about love, they must first learn to love themselves. This includes embracing some sad history from their past. Being summoned by angels, the Universe, or an entity, the two main characters walk through doors to their past and even take on and alter some perspectives/aspects that may help them cope. They can help each other at a table and talk things out with their exes, or meet their parents who may or may not be with them any longer. They can walk in the footsteps of their parent or say good-bye if they missed an opportunity before in life. These doors and what is happening in their life isn't meant to be realistic in a physical sense, but then again the physical properties aren't everything that make up life. There's the mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects and perspectives that help make life to be what it is today. The acting was great. The story was good. It gave you a reason to cry if you can relate, then wipe your tears and chuckle at the next scene. I will leave this review as I do all my other reviews. I recommend seeing this movie for yourself and not taking anyone's words for nothing else but a grain of salt. See the movie and if you have an open mind, I'm thinking you're going to like it. 😊

It's definitely NOT the best DK game out there. This is more Wreck It Ralph + Incredible Hulk set in another characters universe instead of building on DK64 and improving from there. DK's updated look makes him appear more sensitive than tough. The trailer (for those that haven't played the game) supports my opinion when DK gets squished by the boulder at the end. Old school DK would've broke and punched through that boulder. Now, to list more things wrong. - DKB doesn't appear to be in the same universe as DK64. - DKB would have some believe this is music based. While music is a strong element throughout the game, it should have NO merit on why Pauline is the sidekick here instead of Diddy or the other Kongs which leads me right into my next point... - Poor writing. - Poor Design. - Other than cameos, the Kong gang is pretty much non-existent. - Graphics are good for the Switch 2, but that can only keep one interested for so long. Everyone knows great graphics cannot carry a game. - IGN is completely biased and if anyone is basing their opinion off of them, they should think twice. - If you want a smash and run game that looks good and you can care less about story, this might just be up your alley. - If you want a true DK game, keep waiting. This isn't it.

This one was good. It hit me hard in the right way and I suspect it will do the same for many others. It's definitely a great watch.
