SPOILER ALERT!!!🚨 Watch this movie, but be aware of the messages between the lines. Mufasa is the true villain here. How many times did Scar support Mufasa? I’m pretty sure he saved Mufasa’s life like 3 times. Everyone treats Scar like he’s irrelevant. Nobody even acknowledges when he disappears for a full night after nearly dying!! What kind of “brother” goes after the girl his brother is interested in. Mufasa could have rejected her, but no…he continues to be with Sarabi and doesn’t even consider his brother’s feelings. In the end of the movie, Scar realizes that what he did was wrong and saves his brother. He even asks for forgiveness!! Mufasa, though, refuses to call him by his real name and pretty much sends him into the slums of the Pridelands. And this is all because Scar helped the opposition on a fight they were obviously going to win. You’re telling me you threw away the relationship with the one guy who’s been glazing you your whole life because of a fight in which nobody dies and everybody is happy in the end?!!! Mufasa is painted out to be some humble, noble, kind guy who somehow doesn’t realize his own talents with his “oh no it was just a lucky guess that I knew what type of flower was on your fur” and his “oh I’m not the king cause I’m not of royal blood 🥺” like get over yourself you know damn well what you’re doing. So, yeah, Mufasa is the villain.
