The series is REALLY different from the book. The book is absolutely amazing. A 5 star read and I was so excited to see the series. I’m only on ep4 but sometimes it’s painful to watch. TV Kevin is a laughable dolt. In the book he is older and Dana’s husband. Dana’s mom makes no appearance in the book. But the same premise of Rufus being their ancestor is made. The actor who plays Tom Weylin - I just can’t take him seriously. The actor just looks like an idiot and makes me think this series is a comedy. The neighbors in the series - don’t exist in the book. They’re such overexaggerated busybodies. I’m really struggling to make it through but I loved the book so much I’m going to watch all the way through to see how it ends. The storyline from the book was so interesting I couldn’t put it down! The series screenwriter didn’t do such a great job with this one..and we deserved better acting.
