For casual Star Wars fans this movie is just ok. Good visuals, descent battle scenes etc. For actual star wars fans there is another story. Rey continues to have limited development, she continues to have great force prowess for virtually no reason. All the characters are as equally if not even more boring in this film than it’s predecessors in the trilogy. The continuation of the disrespect towards original star wars characters continues and the last few lines from Rey are enough to drive a die hard star wars fan mad. I won’t tell you not to go see it on the off chance you might like it. However, for the more dedicated and serious Star Wars fans hoping that this movie would save the sequel trilogy you are in for a disappointment. Even if you take this installment out of the Star Wars mythos and just view it as a story, the story telling is just laughable as this movie tries to answer questions brought up in previous movies while also trying to continue the narrative(it does none of it well). If you’re in for a low tier Star Wars movie that makes the events of return of the Jedi pointless then this is the movie for you. I rate this movie ahead of the Last Jedi only because I don’t have to watch another one. Rest easy friends, if the fan base can survive being given mediocre movies with heartless story telling, it can survive anything. Also most of these people are bots giving it good reviews. Don’t take my word for it. Go watch it yourself.May the force be with you friends. And Bravo Disney. Bravo
