This is a great movie. If you've reviewed this as bad because you don't like the director or lead actress, shame on you. If you've reviewed this as bad because the only Monster Hunter game you've played is World, and the movie didn't play out exactly the way the game did, get a 3DS or Switch and play a different version. Also stop wanting movies to be exactly like a game it's inspired by, if you want that just play the damn game and let people enjoy a movie. If you reviewed this as bad because you heard it has racism, it was a single joke that is now removed. Move on. If you reviewed this as good before the movie even came out, you aren't helping. This movie is exactly like the Monster Hunter games, action and moving from monster to monster with little story bites sprinkled in. You want character back stories? Most monster hunter characters don't even get that in the games. The language barrier makes sense. Monster Hunter games have their own unique language. If you've never played Monster Hunter, but want to see this movie here's a note. Monster Hunter is dumb mindless fun and more about the monsters than the actual characters. The monsters in this movie are great and are portrayed properly. This movie is all about the action, and what you need to know about the world is either told to you briefly or shown in the set pieces. This is a Monster Hunter love letter and ultimately for MH fans. But more importantly, form your own opinions of your going into this blind, and don't let a lack of knowledge prevent you from enjoying a visually stunning movie with great action from start to finish.
