One of the most effective experiences i've ever had watching a movie. It doesn't reawlly matter if we were in fact under attack. The queries incited by these series of events in the mind/heart of every major character takes you into the rooms and gravity of bearing the responsibility of this type of decision.... and the unfathomable attempts to try to imagine the permutations of possible consequences of any act you might take. It was daunting, powerful, brain-scramblilng and transformative in it;s potential to incite even a few of us to imagine a better way... or at least to consider the possibilty of find ways to be less hateful and self-destructive. Bullies may prefer such an approach but that approach just makes it harder the rest of the human race and we ARE better than that. Anywaaaaay....

I didn’t get the show the first time through, but I could see the intelligence behind it. After a second viewing, when I understood more of the references, I became extremely impressed. … And then… It wormed its way into my brain and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Now I’m completely obsessed. It’s totally unique into itself and these writer/ producers are very, very clever. The entire cast is top notch, but Jacob Tierney destroys me at every moment! Now I wish there were more than six episodes per season. Hurry up, season 12. Pitter patter. Let’s get at ‘er.

Locke & Key pleasantly surprised me. I expected it to be a mildly amusing CW type fantasy on par with Vamp Diaries & et al. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that) It surpassed those expectations on every level. The writing is quite good and the cast is excellent. The mystery is weird. Kind of like if Narnia and Criminal Minds Had a baby. I sometimes don’t follow or quite know what is actually happening, what is a flashback, and what is the result of a Key House experience, but I don’t really care. I figure it will all sort itself out in the end, and in the meantime I am totally on board.
