This is not Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. The director stole the name and rewrote the entire story, making a complete butchery of it. Use a different title if you are going to change the characters and story, and leave an otherwise perfect book by a genius author alone! Great Disappointment would be a better name!

Well, what was the need to change an already perfectly crafted story by Agatha Christie? The plot, and characters were completely and unnecessarily changed. How about about they rename this series….The Murder of Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence. What a waste. The casting was fantastic if only they had kept to the original. As an Agatha Christie fan, I am disappointed.

I thought this movie was excellent. I loved the acting, creative camera work and the way musical styles of past and present intertwined throughout the movie. Having the colonel narrate Elvis’ story, from his perspective, presented Elvis’ bio in a whole different way. The script never lingered too long on any aspect of Elvis’ life, and moved along at a good pace touching upon all important aspects of Elvis’ life and career. Well done!

A slow, pointless, draggy movie with zero plot and character development. If you are suffering from insomnia, it’s a sure cure.
