My first thought with Spawn was how terrible the acting is. My second thought was how high budget the film appears to be. You can tell a lot of money was spent, but everything misses the mark. The CGI looks utterly horrible, which makes the other reviews make more sense as the 4-5 stars are based on nostalgia. I managed to finish the movie but it wasn't easy.
