James (Soundwave)

This film is a debacle. Mortal kombat, at least the first game/chapter is such a simple story. There are background complexities, but it's pretty basic all things considered. So how you mess it up this much is beyond me. Here are the takeaways for me. Scorpion is a scrub now. There's a new kid we didn't need who goes from terrible to hero in three days without reason. Screw the tournament or any of the story that goes along with it. Sister becomes daughter? Special effects are great, story is a basket case.
