I picked this up from my local library and finished it in one day! It was so captivating and interesting didn’t want to put it down. I will definitely be picking up a copy for myself from the bookstore so I can keep it permanently.
Me and my spouse have been working our way through SE Asia here and there for the past decade and want to visit more countries. A lot of the places that are in the book, are also on our bucket list. I found it very helpful to learn about the Nomadic Boys’ first hand experience in these countries. I’ve seen them (Nomadic Boys) on instagram before, but didn’t follow them, and are very happy to see their success.
It was very sweet reading their short stories about their relationship, (the proposal story made me cry a bit).
It was nice to hear the shoutout about Vancouver, BC, Canada (where I’m from). I really enjoyed the information and tips about traveling as an LGBT couple. And I could tell they weren’t BS-ing the info because I had visited some of their recommendations myself with my spouse. I’m glad they didn’t hold back about their experience in the Middle East and Africa, as those have been on my list and have written those off due to their anti-LGBT attitudes/laws. It’s one of my biggest fears when traveling with my spouse.
One of the things I liked the most is that the book is that it has gay spot recommendations, but doesn’t focus on partying and hooking up, but on actually visiting the country/city. I wished there was information on costs visiting the countries, (like a $$$$ scale on Google), but overall it was a wonderful read.
I usually don’t write reviews, but like they say in their book, we (LGBTQ+) need to support our international LGBTQ+ community!
