Is Seo, InGuk in it? Yes, then I’ll watch! This was my first intro to Seo InGuk but I watched it bec I love the genre. A lonely, unloved man, who does terrible things & treats people terribly finds a woman who strikes him as interesting. Of course, he falls in love. But he isn’t a man, he’s akin to a God, the overseer of everything that has met its Doom. It does get a little lost in places and translations are clunky (I wish I understood Korean better). I had to see it 2x to really appreciate the subtlety of Seo InGuk’s acting. A being that has watched humans for 1000’s of years. Everything around him meets its Doom. How sad & lonely. Seo InGuk really amazed me at how well he portrayed those feelings. His character change wasn’t abrupt, it was well paced & well acted. Park BoYoung tore my heart apart & made me really feel her pain. This is now one of my “go-to’s” when I get burned out on Kdramas. And yes, it does get sad & deep, but it has a happy ending.
