Delgo is a real work of art. Ya know. It's one of those movies that really makes you stop and think for a second. Why am I here? What is the true nature of existence? And I'll tell you right now that there is a real reason that this film is so thought provoking. It fascinates the mind with escapism the likes of which has never been seen. But yet, it so closely mirrors our own society that it can make us reflect on our lives. Delgo doesn't tell you what to think. But perhaps, it shows you, how, to think. The message behind Delgo is a simple one. But yet so many tough issues are quietly touched upon to leave one in tears. Delgo critiques our society through fantasy. This escapism would be labeled as nothing more than a kids movie if it weren't so profound in it's sociopolitical message. I, as a 45 year old man watch Delgo for it's deep message. It's a reminder of the cruel world we live in, and a signla of how to change it. I have a lot of thoughts about Delgo. It's a film everyone should watch. Delgo isn't just a film. It's an experience. A mindset. And this film is not afraid to stare you down, and show you a world all to similar too our own but with just enough fantasy to mesmerize the mind. I have a feeling Delgo will go unnoticed this year. And while awards season is just around the corner, I can wholeheartedly say that Delgo will receive no praise. Because Delgo was not made for the academy. It was not made for the snobs who want to lift commercial cash grabs. It was made for the people, by the people, and with the people. And it will not be the academy that lifts this film up this year. IT WILL BE THE PEOPLE. So please, let people find this small seemingly void film. Let them be lifted. Let their consciousness be touched by the gods. Please, watch Delgo. I beg of you. #Delgo.
