I thought my 10 year grandchild would enjoy watching Wicked, boredom set in within the first ten minutes. I was also disappointed initially, however, since I bought the dvd I was determined to watch the entire movie. Eventually, I turned on the subtitles to see if that would keep my interest, it did, I ended up kind of liking the movie. Its not something I'd recommend for younger kids, not that it's scary, but if there isn't a solid familiarity to the original Wizard of Oz and a certain maturity level, the movie will bore them.
