I thought the setup of the book, 4 young adults recently spit out of the foster care system and living together in a cramped apartment, was ripe for a great story and that proved to be true. The book explores themes of what it means to be neighborly, to be seen, to use your talents or not and so much more. It’s dark, but also funny and ultimately rich, very, very rich.
