I can identify with the movie in ways more than one. My father was a geologist. This got me opportunities to travel with him in the jungles. Also, being an honest government officer, he had to face what Vidya Vincent faced. Further, the jungles sequences have been shot so naturally without giving unnaturally frequent tiger sightings.
This movie brings to life the real struggles between man to man and man to animal conflicts. I cannot stop but grind my teeth in agony while seeing the opportunities of the department go out of hand because of the two mean and selfish people Amar Singh Parihar (GK) and Satyakam Anand (P K) whose only aim is to win the election and they use killing tiger as their agenda, and Sharath Saxena as Pinto who is a shooter wanting another tiger kill to his credit. Vijay Raaz, the professor, is a person she thought she could depend on, is relocating to Mumbai. Neeraj Kabi, the senior officer, whose work she once appreciated.
The people whom she thought she could trust or depend on show their real faces in trying times. Vidya doesn’t give in to the pressures and continues to do her best wherever she is posted. Truly amazing story.
As usual, Vidya’s acting is so natural. And so is that of all the others.
