Best Star Wars film ever made! Anakin's story arc in the final installment is perfect, it really gives you an insight and understanding of how Darth Vader became the Sith Lord we all know in the Original Trilogy.
Watching this film 15 years ago when it was first released it was movie magic to my eyes, and is still visually amazing today. The best scene I can use as an example is the final standoff between Vader/Anakin and Obi-wan on Mustafar, the visuals, and choreography throughout the sequence was cinematically beautiful and the location setting really set the tone of what events was unraveling in that moment.
The actors did an amazing performance portraying these characters throughout the prequel trilogy.
I agree the writing isn't a strong point for George Lucas but I applaud him for his directing and creative visual abilities.
