This little movie provoked tears, outrage and triumph. As usual, Judi Dench is authentic and at times, humorous. So sad that Philomena was unable to know the incredible man her sweet boy had become. The story made me think that women today are still being judged and persecuted for “letting down their knickers”, just as the girls in that convent had been many decades ago.
