It's not at all similar to the books and ruins the character of Poirot and our lovely Ariadne Oliver.
Why can't just people make faithful adaptations of the books or else make your own detective series.. it's just them using Poirot for clout and audience while maintaining nothing about the original character.
Agatha Christie would be so angry right now!
