I’d say it’s a mixed bag. It has some strong performances, especially from Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Harrison Ford as President Ross, but the movie struggles with pacing and a somewhat convoluted plot. The film does a good job of showing Sam stepping into the role of Captain America, but it doesn’t explore his internal conflicts as deeply as it could have. The political intrigue is interesting on paper, but the execution feels a bit shallow. Some action scenes are well-done, but overall, the film lacks the punch of The Winter Soldier or Civil War. Harrison Ford, however, steals every scene he’s in. His portrayal of Ross adds weight to the film, and there’s some compelling tension between him and Sam. But despite these strong moments, the movie doesn’t feel as impactful as past Captain America films. Overall, it’s a decent but not groundbreaking entry in the MCU. If you’re a Marvel fan, it’s worth a watch, but it doesn’t quite live up to the best of the franchise. I’d give it around a 6.5/10.
