This book highlighted to me the courage, loyalty, compassion, love and romance that can still exist amongst those brave women, men and children who live under such adverse conditions. It left me with much to think about and to try to understand and not judge others who are forced to live through wars and so many sorrows. Those who also have to embrace cultures and strict rules that maybe is not part of their dreams for peace, hope and a bright future. I think it was well written… I felt when reading it I was actually in Mariam’s and Laila’s world. Always hoping there would be a happy ending. A truly amazing author. Well done, Khaled Hosseini.. you are a genius! Thank you.
