I loved this book but gave it a 4 rather than a 5 because for about the first half of the book I kept looking for references, such as Narnia. Then I realised that the story of Piranesi WAS the point of the book. Beautifully written with mystery and questions to keep reading to solve. I wondered why Piranesi did not question where the Other got his changes of clothing from. I will read it again.
