Looked like it had promise as a psychological thriller but no—no character development, no plot development, no narrative drive, and no story climax. The cockroaches, who played themselves, were quite good.

It didn’t need the Christmas backdrop or to be released at a holiday; this may have worked against the film’s reception. That said, this is a sensitive and thought provoking film. The acting is exceptional. Suspend disbelief and see it. Worth your time!
