I couldn’t understand why this was only rated three stars, since it’s excellent. So I decided to read some of the abundant one star reviews. They are composed entirely of people disappointed that it’s not like the original 1950s black and white series starring Raymond Burr. Now, I enjoyed watching those many years ago with my grandmother. But then I grew up. Honestly, what did these people think? Did they really believe HBO was going to do a reboot with 1950s sensibilities? It’s people like this who prevented us from having decent shows on broadcast television all those years, because they drove the ratings down with their stupidity. Thank god for HBO.
