The movie itself has an interesting concept. But the timing and execution is its biggest downfall. The suspense is highly predictable and further hindered with the less than flattering lighting and camera angles. One of the biggest issues I saw was the timing in the dramatic scenes. There will be a perfect opportunity for character dialogue or characters taking action, but no, then you’ll see the main character Sara in a whole different setting with other people. It makes you wonder how much time went past, as you watch the main character act nonchalant about the interactions she had with her roommate in the previous scenes. With the poor timing of each scene, it makes it very difficult to really invest in anything that’s happening on screen. You feel like something interesting is about to happen then in a flash the scene is over, and you’ll see Sara eating again with her out of nowhere boyfriend Stephen.
