Just watched the Brisbane show and wow, Six is a resounding 10! Took my bf who isn't really a big musical theatre buff and he loved it. I didn't actually know what to expect of this musical but booked the tix as I've always been interested in anything to do with King Henry's 6 wives. The show is rather brief at around 1.5 hrs but it sure packs an energetic punch! Each song is catchy and paced well, a mix of fun pop tunes and power ballads. All of the queens shine and are distinct, effectively conveying their unique personalities onstage. The costumes were gorgeous!!! I would recommend this to musical theatre noobs or folks who wouldn't typically watch musical theatre shows. As a musical theatre purist, I thoroughly enjoyed this one despite it being in a concert format.
