When you add Michael Bay's usual explosive directing and Ryan Reynold's quips and jabs, you get a really good action movie. For those expecting the cinematically new, unexpected, or extraordinary, however: this isn't for you. But this is definitely a really good action movie to watch. I expect 'experts' and 'critics' seeing this movie as the usual boring guns-blazing, bombs-hurling experience, and therefore slamming it as derivative. So what? For me, that formula still works with many people, including me. I do hope a sequel is in the works. There are 8 other truly "evil m*therf**kers" to eliminate, and I, for one, would like to see how 1 and the crew play it out.
