As much as I would like to see more with the Mario party game with new features and things to do, I have to say it was missing some key characters who are fan favourites like Diddy Kong, Dry Bones along with Hammer Bro which is a shame along with key characters missing the return of motion controls on small joy con controllers really ruined the game play for me as a whole, so all the new things added to the game itself does get ruined by these things and a nitpicky one like Mario, Luigi, Wario and especially Waluigi voices sounding from terrible to just not as brilliant as the older Mario Party games. I don’t know what happened with the voices but it just ruins the experience when all of these factors come together, motion control games, using small controller to play missing characters and bad voice acting really just made me just put on the Mario party super stars as it’s a much better and simpler game to pick up even if it doesn’t have as much to offer, dare I say the first Mario Party game has gimmicks I enjoyed like the character dices and a roster of characters that 95% would prefer to see on a Mario Party game even though it has its flaws.
