I read all of the Robyn Carr Virgin River books. When I saw they made a series of the Virgin River stories, I was intrigued. I loved, loved, the books. I just finished season one on Netflix. I think they did a good job of blending some of the character stories that were in the books. They are not exactly the same. I think it is cute that Hope and Doc have a relationship in the Netflix show. I do not like the character that Hope plays though. Yes, she is the town matriarch, but the books dont paint her as that big of a pain or horrible busy body. I also dont remember Charmaine being pregnant in the books, so now I have to go and read them over again.
Books always give so much more detail in words that movies just cannot convey, which is why the Virgin River books are so great. If you have not read them, please do so, you won't regret it. I am looking forward to season two tomorrow. There are alot of stories in the Virgin River books, so lots for Netflix to continue to make for us to watch for many seasons.
